Project implementation will result in permanent impacts to 1.8 acres and temporary impacts to 1.8 acres of California red-legged frog and Alameda whipsnake habitat. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife are requiring purchase of mitigation credits from a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and California Department of Fish and Wildlife approved mitigation bank at a 2:1 ratio for permanent impacts and 1:1 ratio for temporary impacts to compensate for these impacts resulting in a total of 5.4 acres of credits that must be purchased. Multi-species credits applicable to both species will be purchased from the Ohlone Preserve Conservation Bank for a total of $121,500.00 to satisfy this requirement.
