HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04222014 - D.14 D.14 Board of Supervisors Contra Costa County Date: April 22 2014 Public Comment Speakers: Mark Rodgers, spoke to the Board on bringing the HERO Financing program to Contra Costa County. The HERO program is a success story in creating jobs and bringing affordable financing to eligible homeowners for energy efficient upgrades and improvements such as solar, window, roofing, and water savings products. The HERO program also seeks to help in lowering carbon emissions. Mr. Rodgers also thanked the Board for supporting environmental issues surrounding the delta; The following people spoke to the Board on the need for wage increases in the In-Home Support Services unit (SEIU-UHW): Annie Durazo; Melody Lacy; Michelle Franklin. Janet Jamerson, resident of San Leandro, requested assistance from the Board in rectifying the taking of her state tax refund by the Assessor's Department in relation to a foreclosure case from 2004. The County Administrators office will meet with Ms. Jamerson to address her concerns. Edwin Walske and David Cardiff, were not able to speak today, but left written comments for the Board's consideration regarding a Land Use Permit (LP09-2026) to establish a fire station at 2100 Stone Valley Road (attached).
