FISCAL IMPACT: $50,000. 100% County General Fund; Budgeted FY 13/14. BACKGROUND: Spike's Produce is a locally owned and operated small business that provides low-cost produce to all three adult detention facilities. These deliveries occur in the early morning, making it essential to have a low-cost, local solution. This will ensure timely delivery of essential food products for meals served at adult detention facilities. The change order will accommodate purchases throughout the effective period of 06/30/2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the Sheriff's Office will not have an active purchase order to acquire food products necessary for meals at the County's adult detention facilities.
