Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#74–355–4 with Lisa Wang, MD, a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $174,720 to provide
professional psychiatric services in West County, for the period from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. (No Rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
For a number of years, the County has contracted with Medical, Dental and Mental Health Specialists to provide
specialized professional services, which are not otherwise available, at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center or
Contra Costa Health Plan.
On June 4, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74–355–4 with Lisa Wang, M.D. to provide
psychiatric services to Seriously and Persistently

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Mentally Ill (SPMI) adults in West Contra Costa County for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
Approval of Contract #74-355-5 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services, through June 30, 2015.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, SPMI adults in West Contra Costa County will not have access to Contractor’s
services, which may result in a reduction in the levels of service to the community.
