HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04222014 - C.94RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #76-504-10 with Peter Won, M.D., a self-employed individual, effective April 1, 2014, to amend Contract #76-504-7 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #76-504-8 and #76-504-9), to increase the payment limit by $45,000, from $1,530,000 to a new payment limit of $1,575,000, with no change in the original term of June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On May 17, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #76-504-7 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #76-504-8 and #76-504-9) with Peter Won, M.D., for the provision of professional radiology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC), for the period from June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2014. Whereby, the Division is recommending an increase in the Contract payment limit to allow the Contractor to be paid for additional services provided. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #76-504-10 will allow the Contractor to provide additional professional radiology services at CCRMC through May 31, 2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, patients requiring professional radiology services at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s services which may result in a reduction in the levels of service to the community.
