Bueren, Public Works Director/Chief Engineer Date:April 22, 2014 Contra Costa County Subject:Approve Notice of Intention to Sell a 0.32-acre portion of APN: 187-130-012, 1420 Livorna Road, Alamo area. FISCAL IMPACT: The District anticipates receiving a minimum of $425,000 in revenue from the public auction sale of this 0.32-acre site and single-family residence. BACKGROUND: On July 16, 2013, the Board of Supervisors (Board) approved the Notice of Intention to Sell Property owned by the District (Item C-9). Due to the tenants not vacating the property in a timely manner, the public auction was not able to be held as set by the Board for November 5, 2013. The tenants have now vacated the property and the District wishes to move forward with the sale of the excess property. In 1989, the District acquired the property for a flood control improvement project. The District no longer needs a portion of the property for flood control purposes and wishes to terminate the rental agreement and dispose of the parcel as surplus property. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The District would continue to own the subject property. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable. ATTACHMENTS Notice of Public Land Sale
