HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04012014 - D.7RECOMMENDATION(S):
CONTINUE the public hearing to May 13, 2014, in order to allow sufficient time for staff to respond to the Board's
direction from January 21, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The applicant has paid the initial application deposit and is obligated to pay supplemental fees to cover any and all
expenses and costs associated with the application processing.
BACKGROUND:
On January 21, 2014, the Board continued the public hearing on the appeals of Communities for A Better
Environment and Shute, Mihaly, and Weinberger of the County Planning Commission's decision to approve the
Propane and additional Butane Recovery Project by Phillips 66 Rodeo Refinery. During the hearing, the Board of
Supervisor's received testimony from the appellants, applicants, and the general public. Upon conclusion of the public
testimony and deliberation by the Board, this item was continued as an open public hearing to April 1, 2014, in order
for the Department of Conservation and Development staff to respond to specific testimony and letters received from
the appellants and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD).
Due to recent communications and a scheduled meeting with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District on April
2, 2014; staff is proposing this matter to be continued from April 1, 2014 to May 13, 2014, so the Department can
fully evaluate issues raised at the previous hearing on January 21, 2014.
