APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute an Abatement and Demolition
contract dated April 1, 2014 through May 30, 2014, with W.C. Maloney, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $118,321,
to provide Demolition Services for the I80/San Pablo Dam Rd. Interchange Improvement Project, San Pablo area.

FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) Funds
BACKGROUND:
On behalf of CCTA, the County acquired residential improvements identified as 3160 and 3168 Rollingwood Drive
in San Pablo as part of Right of Way requirements for the I80/San Pablo Dam Rd. Interchange Improvements Project.
The County is in the process of preparing both sites for pre-construction utility work that is scheduled to begin May
15, 2014. In order to complete preparation of both sites and

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the contract is not approved by the Board of Supervisors, the improvements will not be demolished in time for
pre-construction utility work to begin.
