APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director or designee, to execute the month-to-month Rental
Agreement effective February 1, 2014, between Contra Costa County and Paul E. Forestant and Leslie C. Forestant
on behalf of Contra Costa County (Project No.: 4660-6X4170).
AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller to issue a check in the amount of $1,000.00 per month in accordance with the
terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement, payable to Paul E. Forestant and Leslie C. Forestant, 2627 Chanslor
Avenue, Richmond, CA 94804.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Contra Costa Transportation Authority Funds
BACKGROUND:
These property rights are required for the San Pablo Dam Road Interchange Project in accordance with the approved
plans and specifications. The County is in the process

Subject:I-80/San Pablo Dam Road Interchange Project
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
of appraising and acquiring the tri-plex located at 1422 Humboldt Avenue in San Pablo. Since the County cannot
prevent the owner from re- renting the units before the County has acquired the property for the project, the
County wishes to enter into a Rental Agreement with the property owners for the vacant unit to minimize
relocation costs that might occur should the property owners re-rent unit #3. The County is currently renting unit
#1 and unit #2 is still occupied.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The County could be liable for additional relocation expenses if the unit #3 is rented to new tenants.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
