HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03252014 - C.51RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director,
an amendment to a purchase order with Northland Control Systems to increase the amount payable by $100,000 to a
total of $250,000, for access control products, and extend the termination date from May 31, 2014 to May 31, 2015,
Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost is to be funded through the General Fund.
BACKGROUND:
Public Works Materials Management (Materials) is responsible for access control parts and supplies. The County's
facilities are equipped with Lenel brand access hardware. This is the equipment that allows County staff to gain
access to buildings and gates using their keycards. As bid on Bidsync No. 1002-002, Northland Control Systems has
been awarded this commodity. The County originally bid this for two (2) years with three (3) possible one-year
extensions. This request represents the third of three possible one-year extensions. Materials is asking to increase the
purchase order value and extend the term for this third-year extension.
