THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on January 28 , 1986 , by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fanden, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson and Powers
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

SUBJECT: Application by A & P Properties to rezone land from A-3 to
A-4 (2654-RZ and to establish a Land Conservation
Contract in the Brentwood area.
This being the time for hearing on the recommendation of
the County Planning Commission with respect to an application filed
by A & P Properties (applicant and owner) (2654-RZ) to rezone 271
acres of land from Heavy Agricultural District (A-3) to Agricultural
Preserve (A-4) , and an application to establish a Land Conservation
Contract on the subject property which fronts on either side of
Marsh Creek Road, one mile east of Deer Valley Road in the Brentwood
area.
Harvey Bragdon, Assistant Director of Community
Development described the property site and advised that no
Environmental Impact Report was prepared insasmuch an Agricultural
Preserve District rezoning actions are exempt from the review
requirements under the California Environmental Quality Act (Class
17) .
The Chairman opened the public hearing and no one having
appeared in opposition, the public hearing was closed.
The Board considered the matter and as recommended by
Supervisor Torlakson, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that rezoning
application 2654-RZ is APPROVED as recommended by the County =�
Planning Commission and the Board hereby adopts the Planning
Commission's reasons as set forth in its resolution No. 1-1986 as
its determinations for this decision.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Ordinance No. 86-10 giving
effect to the aroresaid rezoning is INTRODUCED, reading waived and
February 11, 1986 is set for adoption of same.
