Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#26-610-3 with University Healthsystem Consortium, a non-profit corporation, a non-financial agreement, to provide
technical assistance to the Department with regard to analysis of patient data and quality management improvement,
for the period February 1, 2014 through January 31, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None, this is a non-financial agreement.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
the Contractor will provide the County access to resources for effective clinical and operational performance
management, easy-to-use online reports and other Web-based tools to blend clinical, operational, administrative,
financial, and technical data enabling the County to benchmark and compare its performance with that of their peers
and act on opportunities to improve clinical, operational and patient safety performance, through January 31, 2017.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this Contract is not approved, the Department would not have the ability to access database resources which help to
provide effective clinical and operation management of healthcare services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center
and Health Centers, required by federal regulations.
