Subject:Amendment #24-859-21 with Edgewood Center for Children and Families
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
On August 13, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #24-859-20 with Edgewood Center for
Children and Families for the provision of residential day treatment, collateral services and therapeutic behavioral
services (TBS), for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014, which included a six-month automatic
extension through December 31, 2014.
Due to the closure of another treatment facility, utilization of Contractor’s services has exceeded the level projected
at the time of negotiation.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-859-21 will allow the Contractor to provide additional specialty
mental health treatment services through June 30, 2014.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, additional County clients requiring treatment will not have access to Contractor’s
day treatment and therapeutic behavioral services.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not Applicable.
