APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5051 and AUTHORIZE the transfer of revenue from Contra
Costa County Flood Control & Water Conservation District (Flood Control District), Fund 250500 and appropriate it
to Flood Control District, Autos & Trucks in the amount of $147,855, to replace vehicle numbers 6156, 6303, and
6854, as recommended by the Chief Engineer, Countywide. (100% Flood Control District Funds)
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Flood Control Division of the Public Works Department will replace 3 vehicles at an estimated cost of $300,000.
The purchase will be funded partly through the release of accumulated depreciation and will be funded 100% through
Public Works Flood Control Division.
BACKGROUND:
Of the vehicles to be replaced, one has already been disposed of and the other 2 have been determined to be beyond
their useful life and in need of replacement by Fleet Management. If these vehicles are not replaced, costly repair
costs are likely to be incurred.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without the appropriation of accumulated depreciation for the vehicles being replaced, Public Works, Flood
Control Division would have to find other funding sources for the replacement of the three vehicles.
