BACKGROUND: The Iron Horse Corridor Management Advisory Committee was authorized by the Board of Supervisors on July 22, 1997. It was established to assist Contra Costa County in developing a management program for the Iron Horse Corridor. In October of 2000 the Board expanded the Advisory Committee’s role to continue implementation and monitoring of the Landscape Element of the Management Program and to assist in completion of the Joint Use Criteria and Standards, Public Information, and Finance elements of the Management Program. Advisory Committee seats include one representative from each jurisdiction or unincorporated community along the corridor, a District II seat, a District IV seat and a seat for the East Bay Regional Park District. Mr. Proctor’s reappointment to the Iron Horse Corridor Management Advisory Committee was requested by the Danville Town Council on November 19, 2013. Mr. Hudson's reappointment to the Iron Horse Corridor Management Advisory Committee was requested by the City of San Ramon on January 28, 2014. In addition, they have requested Mr. Harry Sachs be appointed as an alternate, should Mr. Hudson be unable to attend a meeting. Supervisor Andersen has been pleased with the work done by Mr. Eykamp as the District II-At Large representative and Gregory Wiener as the Alamo Area representative . CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The seats will become vacant and the committee will be unable to attain a quorum. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: None.
