HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02112014 - C.41RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the purchasing agent on behalf of the Health Services Department to execute a Change Order to Blanket Purchase Order # F44853 with Cardinal Health, Inc., to add $15,000 for a new total of $110,000, effective October 1, 2013, for reagents and testing supplies for the Pathology and Clinical Laboratory at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I Budget. BACKGROUND: These reagents and supplies are used to perform routine testing on patient samples in the laboratory at CCRMC. The replenishment of such supplies allows for testing such as blood cultures and pregnancy. The CCRMC ordered supplies that exceeded the dollar limit of the purchase order. This was not discovered until the vendor submitted their final invoices for payment. Because the orders were placed and fulfilled in good faith, the Health Services Department is requesting additional authority to pay the vendor the amount owed.
