HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02112014 - C.39RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent on behalf of the Health Services Department to execute a Change Order
to Blanket Purchase Order #F44274 with Prometheus Laboratories, Inc. effective November 1, 2013 to add $60,000
for a new total of $145,000, for outside laboratory testing as needed for the Pathology and Clinical Laboratory at
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Contra Costa Health Centers, through October 31, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I budget.
BACKGROUND:
Outside laboratory testing services are required on an as needed basis when the laboratory at CCRMC does not have
the means to test certain specimens. The Health Services Department requested, and the vendor supplied, testing
services that exceeded the amount authorized. Because the vendor supplied the services in good faith at the request of
the Department, the Department is requesting authority to increase the purchase order to pay the vendor the amount
owed.
