HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02042014 - C.61RECOMMENDATION(S): Accept the 2013 Annual Report submitted by the Contra Costa Centre Municipal Advisory Council as recommended by Supervisor Mitchoff. FISCAL IMPACT: None BACKGROUND: On June 18, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2002/337, which requires that each regular and ongoing board, commission, or committee shall annually report to the Board of Supervisors on its activities, accomplishments, membership attendance, required training/certification (if any), and proposed work plan or objectives for the following year. The attached report fulfills this requirement for the Contra Costa Centre Municipal Advisory Council. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The Contra Costa Centre Municipal Advisory Council will be in violation of Resolution No. 2002/337 which requires an annual report. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable. Attendance/Representation Attendance to our meetings was good, with 97% attendance by existing MAC members. Turnover in 2013 was higher than in the prior year, with the MAC losing two of seven members, one to a personal relocation out of the area and one for personal reasons. The MAC ended the year with two vacancies. Public attendance was light throughout the year, except for meetings involving the discussion of the traffic management in and around the 1450 Treat Blvd John Muir medical office. Training/Certification Members have all been through the Brown Act training. Budget training / certification was not needed, as we again had no budget to manage. Proposed Work Plan/Objectives for Next Year  We will continue the work to review traffic conditions along Treat Blvd and Cherry Lane as affected by the JMMC project at 1450 Treat Blvd.  We will monitor developments with potential changes in the use of Block C within the Contra Costa Centre Transit Village.
