HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02042014 - C.42RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Clerk-Recorder, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with S.O.E.
Software Corporation, effective February 1, 2014, to increase the payment limit by $28,325 to a new payment limit
of $492,523 to provide mobile access capability to the Recorder Division web information, with no change to the term
of August 21, 2007 through August 20, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of this upgrade is within the current 2013-2014 budget.. The increase will be covered by dedicated trust fund
monies (Recorder Modernization).
BACKGROUND:
The Clerk-Recorder-Elections website is currently maintained and hosted by S.O.E.'s Clarity software. The
Clerk-Recorder Division recently began a process of updating and revising the website. As part of that updating
process, we want to make the site friendly and accessible to those using mobile devices. S.O.E. can provide "liquid
web" capability if we license their Clarity Mobile software and pay a one-time installation fee.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Clerk-Recorder website and information will not be user-friendly and accessible to those on mobile devices.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
