HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02042014 - C.01RECOMMENDATION(S): AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to advertise for the 2014 On-Call Trucking Services Contract for Aggregate Stockpiling, for the stockpiling of chip seal aggregate that will be used for the Public Works Department's 2014 chip seal program, Countywide. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Local Road Funds. BACKGROUND: The Public Works Department will use the 2014 On-Call Trucking Services Contract for Aggregate Stockpiling to provide trucking services for the hauling of chip seal aggregate from the quarry to various stockpile locations throughout Contra Costa County. The aggregate will be used by Public Works Maintenance crews for routine pavement surface treatment activities on various roads within Contra Costa County. The Public Works Department intends to award one $200,000 contract with a term of one year, and will be used as needed with no minimum amount that has to be spent.
