ACCEPT bequest from Lili Mai Albertoni-Weedin to the Health Services Department Homeless Shelter in Concord
in the amount of $450,000.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The bequest of $450,000 was made to the Central County Interim Housing program and will be used to benefit the
shelter. Because these funds are one time in nature, they will be used for one time expenses, including, but not limited
to the purchase of vehicles and infrastructure improvements such as painting, ceiling repairs, and internet access.
BACKGROUND:
Lili Mai Albertoni-Weedin of Oklahoma upon her death left to the Health Services Department Homeless Shelter in
Concord a bequest in the amount of $450,000. The only stipulation on these funds is that they be used for the
Concord Homeless Shelter.
California Government Code Section 25355 and Administrative Bulletin No. 117 - Gifts and Bequests require Board
of Supervisors approval on any gift, bequest or devise over $10,000.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The County would not receive the bequest.
