APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a Traffic Signal Maintenance
Agreement with the City of Concord on an actual cost-reimbursement basis.
FISCAL IMPACT:
All traffic signal maintenance costs within the City of Concord associated with this Traffic Signal Maintenance
Agreement will be paid for by the City of Concord on an actual cost-reimbursement basis as described in the
Agreement.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Concord has requested that the County maintain traffic signals within the City. The attached agreement
sets forth the terms and conditions of the Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement, including the maintenance work and
services to be provided by the County and the compensation to be paid by the City. The Public Works Department
will continue to provide these services to the City as described in the Agreement until the Agreement is terminated by
either party as outlined. In addition, the Agreement contains a mutual indemnity and hold harmless clause.
The City of Concord has already approved the Agreement.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The City of Concord will not receive traffic signal maintenance and the County will not be able to provide this
service to the residents of Concord.
