HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12172013 - C.59RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-164-22 with Agostini & Associates, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $500,000, to provide temporary nursing, therapy, pharmacy and other medical professional staff for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC) and the County’s Detention Facility, for the period from November 1, 2013 through October 31, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) from November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2013, to provide temporary staff to assist CCRMC and the County’s Detention Facility during peak loads, temporary absences, and emergency situations. This contract includes changes to County Standard General Conditions, Paragraph 19, “Insurance”. Approval of Contract #26-164-22 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide temporary nursing, therapy, pharmacy and other medical professional staff, through October 31, 2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, patients requiring temporary nursing, therapy, pharmacy and other medical professional staff at CCRMC and the County’s Detention Facility will not have access to Contractor’s services, which may result in a reduction in the overall level of services to the community.
