APPROVE the conveyance of surplus real property identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 086-221-028 located at
the corner of Railroad Avenue and California Avenue, Pittsburg, to the City of Pittsburg (City) in accordance with the
Real Property Sales Agreement (Agreement) and pursuant to California Streets and Highways Code Section 960.
(CP# 00-85) Project No. 4660-6X4287
DETERMINE said property to be surplus and no longer necessary for Contra Costa County (County) road purposes.
AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to execute a Grant Deed on behalf of the County.
AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County for the
purchase price of $10,000.
DIRECT the Real Estate Division of the Public Works Department to cause said Grant Deed to be delivered to the
City upon performance and compliance by the City of all terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement for
recording in the office of the County Recorder.

of Railroad Ave. & California Ave.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Contra Costa Transportation Authority funds.
BACKGROUND:
The County acquired various properties rights in connection to the State Route 4, Railroad to Loveridge Highway
Road widening project in the City. This property was acquired in fee for the relocation and widening of California
Avenue and the relocation of various utilities. The City desires this parcel for a future road widening and
potentially other transportation projects.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The County would retain ownership of a small parcel and continue to incur maintenance costs.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
