HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12102013 - C.36RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-244-10 with Sodexho Laundry Services, Inc., a corporation, effective September 1, 2013, to amend Contract #26-244-8 (as amended by Administrative Amendment #26-244-9), to increase the payment limit by $26,736, from $2,000,000 to a new payment limit of $2,026,736, with no change in the original term of October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: Linen rental and laundering services for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers has been provided under contract since 1984. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2013. At the time of negotiations, the payment limit was based on target levels of utilization. However, the utilization during the term of this Contract was higher than anticipated. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-244-10 will allow the Contractor to provide additional linen rental and laundry services through September 30, 2013. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be reimbursed for laundry services provided to County in good faith. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not Applicable.
