APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute Contract Amendment No. 1 with
A.S. Dutchover & Associates, d/b/a Dutchover & Associates, effective December 3, 2013, to increase the payment
limit by $100,000 to a new payment limit of $300,000, and extend the termination date from March 31, 2014 to
March 31, 2015, to provide landscape architect services, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Special Revenue Funds.
BACKGROUND:
On April 3, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved a contract with A.S. Dutchover & Associates, d/b/a Dutchover
& Associates, to provide on-call landscape architectural services. Special Districts staff recommends extending the
contract termination date from March 31, 2014 to March 31, 2015 and increasing the payment limit by $100,000 to a
new payment limit of $300,000 to allow for completion of existing projects.

Subject:APPROVE Contract Amendment No. 1 with A.S. Dutchover & Associates, for landscape architecture services,
Countywide.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without Board approval, Special Districts will not be able to provide these services with the required level of
expertise needed to ensure that the landscape areas it manages are designed, constructed and maintained in accordance
with the Public Works Department's Landscape Standards.
