Supervisor Nancy Fanden requested clarification of the need for additional personnel to implement the inspection programs. ATTESTED: � I PHIL B!d CHELaP, C. rf ct the Board of Supervisors and County Administrator 1 By , Deputy T. 3 ORDINANCE NO. 86-5 AN ORDINANCE OF THE RIVERVIEW FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT ADOPTING FEES FOR PERMITS, INSPECTIONS, PLAN-CHECKING AND OTHER SERVICES The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, as and constituting the Board of Directors of the Riverview Fire Protection District, ordains as follows: Section I . Authority. This ordinance is enacted, in part, pursuant to Health and Safety Code §§13146 . 2(b) , 13217(b) , 13869, 13871 and 17951, Government Code §6103 .7 and Section 2. 207 of Ordinance #83-50. Section II . Notice and Hearing. This ordinance was adopted pursuant to the procedure set forth in Government Code §§54986, 54992 and 65962 and Health and Safety Code §13869, and all required notices have been properly given and public hearings held. Section III . Permit, Inspection, Plan-Checking and Other Fees. Each person who applies for, requests or receives a permit, inspection, plan review or other service furnished by District shall, at the time of such application, request or receipt, pay the applicable fee or fees listed in Exhibit "A" attached to this Ordinance. As used in this Section, the term "person" means any natural person, firm, association, joint venture, joint stock company, partnership, organization, club, company, corporation, trust or other types of entity. Section IV. Severability. If any fee or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that holding shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining fees or provisions, and the Board declares that it would have adopted each part of this Ordinance irrespective of the validity of any other part. Section V. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective 60 days after passage, and within 15 days of passage, shall be published once with the names of the Supervisors voting for and against it in the "Pittsburg Post-Dispatch" and "Antioch Daily Ledger," newspapers of general circulation published in this County. Authority. This ordinance is enacted, in part, pursuant to Health and Safety Code §§13146. 2 (b) , 13217(b) , 13869, 13871 and 17951, Government Code §6103 .7 and Section 2 . 207 of Ordinance #83-40. Section II . Notice and Hearing. This ordinance was adopted pursuant to the procedure set forth in Government Code §§54986, 54992 and 65962 and Health and Safety Code §13869, and all required notices have been properly given and public hearings held. Section III. Permit, Inspection, Plan-Checking and Other Fees. Each person who applies for, requests or receives a permit, inspection, plan review or other service furnished by District shall, at the time of such application, request or receipt, pay the applicable fee or fees listed in Exhibit "A" attached to this Ordinance. As used in this Section, the term "person" means any natural person, firm, association, joint venture, joint stock company, partnership, organization, club, company, corporation, trust or other types of entity. Section IV. Severability. If any fee or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that holding shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining fees or provisions, and the Board declares that it would have adopted each part of this Ordinance irrespective of the validity of any other part. Section V. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective 60 days after passage, and within 15 days of passage, shall be published once with the names of the Supervisors voting for and against it in the Antioch Dailv Ledszer a newspaper of general circulation published in this County.
