Subject:Amendment #26-294-31 with Staff Care, Inc.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
physician services for Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC), for the period
from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.
Due to the unforeseen absence of physicians at CCRMC, the Department needs to rely on registries for coverage;
however, it has been difficult to attract qualified physicians at the current rate paid under this Contract.
The Department is requesting approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-294-31 to modify the rate schedule
and allow the Contractor to continue providing temporary physician services at CCRMC, through December 31, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, patients requiring appropriate physician coverage services at CCRMC will not
have access to Contractor’s services, which may result in a reduction in the overall level of services to the community.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not Applicable.
