HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12032013 - C.48RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE Appropriation Adjustment No.5024 transferring $200,000 in appropriations from the Treasurer-Tax
Collector (0015) to Capital Projects (0111) for fiscal year 2013-14 for the rewiring project in the Finance building.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action transfers budgeted appropriations of $200,000 to a Capital Projects account.
BACKGROUND:
Capital Projects funding was made available for technology projects that would increase efficiencies and economies
in departments that did not have the resources available within their normal operating budgets. The rewiring of the
Finance building will upgrade the existing infrastructure of the cabling and core networking, enabling the
departments occupying the building to update current telecommunications and information technology systems. The
project is estimated to cost $200,000. It is expected to provide immediate and on-going benefit from the expenditure.
The Auditor-Controller and Treasurer-Tax Collector departments will be overseeing this project. The funds were
appropriated to the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s 2013-14 budget. However, the project is part of the larger Finance
building
