APPOINT Michael Pollard to the Consumer Alternate seat on the Contra Costa Inter-jurisdictional Council on
Homelessness, for a term expiring March 31, 2014, as recommended by the Family and Human Services Committee.

BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa Inter-jurisdictional Council on Homelessness (CCICH) was established on March 11, 2008,
combining the efforts of the Contra Costa County Homeless Continuum of Care Board and the Homeless
Inter-Jurisdictional Inter-Departmental Work Group. CCICH is charged with providing a forum for communication
and coordination about the overall implementation of the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness and providing advice
and input on the operations of homeless services. CCICH meets on a regular basis to discuss issues surrounding
homelessness throughout the County and is made up of representatives from city and

On November 4, 2013 the Family and Human Services Committee reviewed nominations for seats including the
recommendation to appoint Michael Pollard to the Consumer Alternate seat. The Committee recommended
forwarding the appointment to the Board of Supervisors for approval.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Council will not be able to function as a quorum will not exist.
