RE-APPOINT the following individual to the District V-A Representative Seat of the Alcohol & Other Drugs
Advisory Board with a term expiring June 30, 2016, as recommended by Supervisor Glover.

BACKGROUND:
The Alcohol & Other Drugs Advisory Board Members shall have a professional interest in, or personal commitment
to, alleviating problems related to drug abuse and inappropriate alcohol use in their community. The mission of the
Contra Costa County Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board is to assess family and community needs regarding
treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse problems. This board reports

findings and recommendations to the Contra Costa Health Services Department, the Board of Supervisors and the
communities served; works in collaboration with the Alcohol and Other Drugs Services Division of Contra Costa
Health Services; and provides input and recommendations as they pertain to alcohol and other drugs prevention,
intervention, and treatment services.

If this action is not approved, the seat would remain vacant.
