Bueren, Public Works Director/Chief Engineer Date:November 12, 2013 Contra Costa County Subject:License Agreement for the off-site parking for 595 and 597 Center Avenue, Martinez area. BACKGROUND: The property rights are necessary for off-site parking at 595 and 597 Center Avenue in Martinez and will provide 25 County spaces at the Veterans Hospital overflow lot on APN 162-310-002. The VA has a lease with Gordon & Keller, the owners of APN 162-310-002, through June 30, 2016 and is willing to allow the County to use a portion of their leased parking lot. As a condition of the license agreement, the VA requires the County to indemnify them. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The Health Services Department would not have the 25 parking spaces that they requested. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable. ATTACHMENTS License Exhibit A
