HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11122013 - C.42RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Librarian, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Brown-Miller Communications, Inc., to increase the payment limit by $35,000 to a new payment limit of $105,000 and to extend the term from December 31, 2013 through June 30, 2014, to provide training and technical assistance for "Discover & Go" and a Library Strategic Plan. FISCAL IMPACT: The total payment limit is increased to $105,000, an increase of $35,000. Funding is included in the Library's FY 2013-14 budget. BACKGROUND: In January 2013, with the approval of the CAO and County Counsel, Contra Costa County Library entered into a contract with Brown-Miller Communications, Inc., through December 31, 2013, to provide training and technical assistance for both the Library's award-winning museum pass program, Discover & Go, and the Library Strategic Plan, still currently underway. Approval of Contract Extension #45007 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2014.
