APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to submit a grant
application to the Richmond Community Foundation Capacity Building Grant in an amount not to exceed $5,000 for
staff training and professional development, with Volunteer and Emergency Services Team In Action, Inc. (VESTIA,
Inc.), a 501(c)3 non-profit agency as the fiscal agent and authorize the Employment and Human Services Director, or
designee, to accept grant funding from VESTIA, Inc. for the period December 1, 2013 through November 30, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$5,000: Volunteer and Emergency Services Team In Action, Inc. (VESTIA, Inc.), a 501(c)3 non-profit agency, will
be the fiscal agent for the Richmond Community Foundation Capacity Building Grant with Employment and Human
Services to accept funding from VESTIA, Inc. for service delivery.
BACKGROUND:
The grant funding will be used by Employment and Human Services, Community Services Bureau, to provide staff
training and development. Volunteer and Emergency Services Team In Action, Inc. (VESTIA, Inc.) , a 501(c)3
non-profit agency, will be the designated fiscal agent for the grant funds. Employment and Human Services will
accept funds from Vestia, Inc. for staff training and development.
