APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No.5018 and AUTHORIZE the transfer of revenue from Road
Improvement Fee, Fund 139200, to Bailey Road Maintenance Surcharge, Fund 116000 in the amount of
$1,755,480.46 for the Bailey Road Maintenance Surcharge Disbursement Agreement, as recommended by the Public
Works Director, Pittsburg and Bay Point areas.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Road Improvement Fee Fund.
BACKGROUND:
On July 27, 2010, the County Board of Supervisors approved the established amount necessary for the Bailey Road
Maintenance Surcharge. Surcharges have been collected and deposited into a temporary interest account, Fund
139200. On May 7, 2013, the Contra Costa County (County) Board of Supervisors approved the establishment of a
permanent, interest-bearing Special Revenue Fund 116000 for the deposit of collected surcharge and approved an
agreement between the County and the City of Pittsburg for the surcharge disbursement in the Pittsburg and Bay
Point areas. Future collections will be deposited and disbursed from the newly created Fund account.
