HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11122013 - C.27RECOMMENDATION(S):
REMOVE incumbent and DECLARE vacant At-Large Seat 10 on the Advisory Council on Aging currently held by
R. Hoffman and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the County Administrator.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact from the recommended action.
BACKGROUND:
The Advisory Council on Aging was created in 1975 to advise the Board (acting as the Area Agency on Aging), and
the Employment and Human Services Department Aging and Adult Services Bureau on all matters related to the
developments, operation and administration of the annual Area Agency Plan. The Council provides a means for
Countywide planning, cooperation and coordination for individuals and groups interested in improving and
developing services and opportunities for the County's older residents.
R. Hoffman is currently an appointee to the At-Large Seat 10 on the Council. Mr. Hoffman is no longer able to
adequately fulfill his responsibilities on the Council. Therefore, it would be in the best interest of both the Council
and Mr. Hoffman to declare the seat vacant, direct the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy and fill the position with
a new candidate.
