HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11122013 - C.01RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, on behalf of the Public Works Director, to execute a purchase order amendment with Contra Costa Transfer Station to increase the payment limit by $21,000, to a new payment limit of $120,000, Countywide. (100% Local Road Funds) FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Local Road Funds. BACKGROUND: Public Works Road Maintenance and Flood Control Districts are responsible for cleaning up dumped waste products found along County roads, creeks and easements. To dispose of this material, Public Works delivers truckloads of collected debris to the local Contra Costa Transfer Stations, in Martinez and Richmond. Due to increased dumping along County maintained right of ways, the County has exceeded the purchase order limit and is requesting this amendment. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this agreement is not approved, then using the Contra Costa Transfer Station will discontinue. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
