Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #23-325-17 with Wilson Consulting, Inc., a corporation, effective July 1, 2013, to amend
Contract #23-325-16, to increase the payment limit by $400,000, from $500,000 to a new payment limit of
$900,000, with no change in the original term of January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On January 15, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-325-16 with Wilson Consulting, Inc. for the
provision of consultation and technical assistance with regard to County’s Patient Accounting System, including
custom reporting for the Keane system, technical support for the ”HL7” interface,

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
and assistance with regard with regard to implementation of the Department’s appointment system, for the period
from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.
At the time of negotiations, the payment limit was based on target levels of utilization. However, the utilization
during the term of the Contract was higher than originally anticipated.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-325-17 will allow the Contractor to provide additional hours of
consultation and technical assistance with regard to Department’s patient accounting and Keane computer systems
through December 31, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, the Department will not have access to Contractor’s expertise with regard to
County’s patient accounting and Keane computer systems while Contra Costa Regional Medical and Health Centers
continue transition to CCLink.
