HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11052013 - C.70RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23-531-4 with Nordic Consulting Partners, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $1,260,000, to provide consultation and technical assistance with regard to the Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period from October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: In November 2012, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed, Contract #23-531 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #23-531-1 through 23-531-3) with Nordic Consulting Partners, Inc. for the provision of consultation and technical assistance with regard to the Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period from October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) the term of this Contract, Contractor will provide professional technical support, training, and consulting services including but not limited to, the following: Consulting; Technical support; System optimization and configuration; Training; Project management; System planning; Implementation support; Application support; Operational improvement; Information security, and Other related information and technology planning projects as requested by County. Approval of Contract #23-531-4 will allow Contractor to continue providing services through September 30, 2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, the Department will not have access to Contractor’s expert consultation and technical assistance with regard to its information systems.
