Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #23-326-13 with Aspira Technologies, Inc., a corporation, effective October 1, 2013, to
amend Contract #23-326-11, to increase the payment limit by $70,000, from $700,000 to a new payment limit of
$770,000, with no change in the original term of December 1, 2012 through November 30, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On January 8, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-326-11 with Aspira Technologies, Inc. for the
provision of consultation and technical assistance to the Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period from
December 1, 2012 through November 30, 2013.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
the payment limit was based on target levels of utilization. However, the utilization during the term of the agreement
was higher than originally anticipated.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-326-13 will allow the Contractor to provide additional hours of
services to the Department’s Information Systems Unit through November 30, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, the Contractor would not be able to provide additional services with regard to
designing and developing complex clinic software applications and interfaces for the Health Services Department’s
Information Systems Unit.
