Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#23–532-2 with Asante Alliance, LLC, limited liability corporation, in an amount not to exceed $360,000 to provide
consultation and technical assistance with regard to support of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) Project for
the Health Service Department, for the period from November 1, 2013 through October 31, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On December 4, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-532 (as amended by Amendment Agreement
23-532-1) with Asante Alliance, LLC, for the period from November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2013 for the
provision of professional consultation and technical assistance to the Department with regard to the EHR project,
including, but not limited to project management,

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
implementation, integration training, information security and network management support, through October 31,
2013.
Approval of Contract #23-532-2 will allow the contractor to continue to provide professional consultation and
technical services through October 31, 2014.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, the Department will not have the expert technical assistance available for support and
optimization of the EHR Project.
