HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11052013 - C.09RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the Temporary Environmental Surveys Permit (Permit) for cultural and biological surveys with Alves Ranch, effective November 1, 2013 through November 1, 2014, for the Canal Bridge Replacement Project. FISCAL IMPACT: Funding comes from the Federal Highway Bridge Program (80%) and Local Road Funds (20%). BACKGROUND: The Public Works Department is in the initial phase of the Canal Road Bridge Replacement Project. It is necessary to conduct cultural and biological surveys to determine the impact to the surrounding area before the project can move forward. The property owner has requested that the permit include indemnification language. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The project would not be able to move forward.
