Approve and Authorize the County Auditor-Controller, or designee, to reimburse Teresita Concellos, a Santa Barbara
County employee, for lodging expenses while volunteering services with the Employment and Human Services
Department on August 4 through August 6, 2013 in the amount of $211.18, as recommended by the Employment and
Human Services Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$211.18 will be funded 10% County, 45% State, and 45% Federal.
BACKGROUND:
Teresita Concellos is the Administrative Officer from Santa Barbara County. The Contra Costa County Employment
and Human Services Director requested her guidance and consultation on fiscal issues impacting social services
agencies around the State, and Contra Costa County in particular. Ms. Concellos agreed to provide the consultation
services free of charge provided she was provided a place to stay. The Department agreed to reimburse Ms.
Concellos for her lodging. Ms. Concellos did not request per diem, mileage, or other travel expenses.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Ms. Concellos provided services on August 4 through the 6, 2013 and paid for the lodging out of her own pocket.
The Employment and Human Services Department would now like to reimburse Ms. Concellos for her costs. A
copy of the invoice and demand are attached.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Ms. Concellos will not be reimbursed and Contra Costa County's relationship with Santa Barbara County may be
adversely impacted.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
