HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10222013 - C.60RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Administrator, or designee, to execute a contract with Cheiron, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $265,000 for analytical services and facilitation of the County's Health Care Options Workgroup for the period October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: The costs of the contract will be recovered through the Benefits Administration Charges to all County Departments. BACKGROUND: The County requires services associated with facilitating the County's recently established Health Care Options Workgroup and other analytical work as requested. The Work Group will be charged with developing health insurance options under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and guidelines including the expected impact on the County's future costs and plan design. The County is requesting that Cheiron facilitate the Workgroup meetings and act as an impartial subject matter expert. Cheiron, Inc. was chosen through a competitive request for proposal process.
