HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10222013 - C.42RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Conservation and Development Director, or designee, to execute a contract
amendment with Macias, Gini & O'Connell, LLP, to increase the payment limit by $50,000 to a new payment limit of
$594,000 to provide additional special accounting services, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2011
through December 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None to the General Fund. Funding is from the Redevelopment Property Tax Trust Fund administered by the County
Auditor Controller, reserves held by the Successor Agency, and bond revenue.
BACKGROUND:
The Successor Agency to the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency has an ongoing need of technical
accounting services to assist with implementing the requirements of the Redevelopment Dissolution Act of 2011 and
its amendments. The budget provided by the existing contract is anticipated to be fully spent by October, 2013.
Approval of this amendment will enable the Successor Agency to continue to ensure the accuracy of the complex
accounting procedures necessary for the Successor Agency's financial transactions and to comply with State reporting
requirements.
The State Department of Finance (DOF) reviewed this enforceable obligation and has not raised an objection. The
need for technical accounting services for the July 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013, time period was approved by the
State DOF under various project obligation items.
