HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10222013 - C.01RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the On-Call Trucking Services Contract for Aggregate Stockpiling project contingency fund increase of $160,000 for a new contingency fund total of $180,000, and a new payment limit of $380,000, effective October 22, 2013, as recommended by the Public Works Director. APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute Contract Change Order No. 1 to the contract with USA Trucking, Inc., effective October 22, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $160,000. FISCAL IMPACT: Project is being funded by 100% Local Road Funds. BACKGROUND: The contingency fund increase is necessary to compensate the contractor for required extra work. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The lack of approval would prevent successful completion of this contract and prevent the contractor from being compensated for additional required work. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
