Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#24-702 with Deepika Sastry, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $145,600, to provide
professional outpatient psychiatric services to mentally ill adults in West County for the period from October 1, 2013
through September 30, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment.
BACKGROUND:
For a number of years the County has contracted with Medical, Dental, and Mental Health Specialists to provide
specialized professional services, which are not otherwise available.
Under Contract #24-702, the Contractor will provide professional outpatient psychiatric services to mentally ill adults
in West County through September 30, 2014.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s professional outpatient
psychiatric services, which may result in a reduction in the overall levels of service to the community.
