HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10152013 - C.31RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21372 to reallocate the salary of the Assistant County Probation Officer - Exempt (7AB1)(unrepresented) from salary plan and grade B85 2077 ($8,286-$10,072) to salary plan and grade B85 2097 ($8,452.50 - $10,274.06) in the Probation Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval of this action, the annual cost will be approximately $2,418, including approximately $1,069 in pension costs. The costs of this action will be covered by salary savings from departmental vacancies. BACKGROUND: On August 8, 2013 the Board of Supervisors approved the establishment of the Assistant County Probation Officer classification (C.40). On August 13, 2013 the Board of Supervisors approved a General Salary Increase for Appointed Department Heads, Management, Exempt and Unrepresented employees (SD.6). This action did not include the newly created Assistant County Probation Officer-Exempt classification, resulting in that classification no longer being appropriately aligned with classifications within the Probation Department on the salary schedule. Today's action corrects this issue.
