HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10152013 - C.30RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21374 to add one (1) Sheriff’s Aide (64VF) (represented) position at salary plan and grade VN5 1119 ($3,144 - $3,822) and cancel one (1)Criminalistics Lab Aide (6D7B) (represented) vacant position #3475 at salary plan and grade VN5 1049 ($2,934 - $3,566) from the Forensics Division – Drug, Alcohol, and Toxicology Section in the Office of the Sheriff's Department. FISCAL IMPACT: $5,181.00 annual increase from the Office of the Sheriff's General Fund, of which approximately $1,104 is attributable to increased pension costs. BACKGROUND: Accreditation burdens in the Support Services Bureau – Forensic Services Division have increased the need for administrative and operational diversification. These position changes are proposed to meet Divisional needs. The completed realignment of positions within the Forensic Division will be essentially cost neutral. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the Forensic Services Division will not operate with an optimal use of resources; thus impacting public safety and the communities we serve.
