HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10012013 - C.34RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-671-6 with Precyse Solutions, LLC, a limited liability corporation, effective May 1, 2013, to amend Contract #26-671-3 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #26-671-4 and #26-671-5), to increase the payment limit by $130,223, from $555,000 to a new payment limit amount not to exceed $685,223, with no change in the original term of the contract from June 1, 2012 through July 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On July 24, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-671-3 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #26-671-4 and Contract Amendment Extension Agreement #26-671-5) with Precyse Solutions, LLC for the provision of temporary medical coding and tumor registrar services for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers including, but not limited to coding of inpatient discharges, scanning records and entry of codes into the County’s APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 10/01/2013 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Candace Andersen, District II Supervisor Mary N. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-671-6 will allow the Contractor to provide additional temporary medical coding and tumor registrar services through July 31, 2013. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, County will not meet its regulatory requirements for medical record coding services under this Contract.
